Swindon Night Shelter is a Christian charity serving the homeless and vulnerable, working to break the cycle of homelessness. We do providing the following:-
Emergency Accommodation
We have 13 rooms (11 single and 2 double)for emergency accommodation at the Haven, as well as one room which is used for an Emergency Bed service. All residents are referred to us by the housing team at Swindon Borough Council.
Day Centre
Our centre at the Haven is a safe, supportive space for those homeless, rough sleeping and vulnerbly housed in the Swindon area. We offer cooked breakfast and lunch, as well as shower and laundry facilities, access to laptops, support workers and specialist agency support. There are also opportunities to learn life skills and gain work experience through volunteering.
Affordable Food Clubs
We also co-ordinate three food pantries across Swindon each week. These find offer a dignified shopping experience for households in Swindon who might find it difficult. Earnings criteria and/or referral needed to participate. Items include fresh, chilled, frozen and store cupboard items.
